I have one word for our experience: WOW. Nell's not only had 8-10 local beers on tap, but had the most surprisingly fresh and affordable lunch choices -- I'm talking local fish, elk burger, mushroom burger, salads, and side dishes that wouldn't be out of place in a hipster diner in Berkeley. The service was friendly, the food and drink was amazing, the scenery out our table's window was incredible -- and it cost me less than a meal @ Denny's. I'm hooked.
It was ok. Convenient, but the food was sub par. I got the burger and it was like a pre-made patty, overly pressed and dry. The fries were not great, and the mac n cheese was rather bland and fake tasting. They do have more healthy options on their menu, but their servings of them are tiny. My sister got the Watermelon salad as a side, and she ate the whole thing in like two bites.
Nel's is perfect for what it is - a place to fill up after enjoying the beauty that surrounds it. Coming in from long hikes, their large portions and nice variety was just what we hoped for or needed. Some things are locally sourced and they have vegetarian options, too. Price is reasonable and service is pretty good. Friendly people but you don't get a ton of attention per say. Overall, we were super pleased with our multiple meals here while staying at Swiftcurrent Motor Inn.

After an amazing day out hiking to/from Iceberg Lake, we swung into the Motor Inn for food and drink. I needed a beer.
Delighted to find a ton of vegetarian options after our hike to Iceberg Lake and back. A little pricey but that's to be expected in the park.
